Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Book a Session or Get Pricing?
Submit an inquiry through the contact form to get more details on available dates, times, and locations. I will be here to answer any questions you may have and make your photo session process as easy as it can be. Please note that dates cannot be held without full deposit or payment.
What Happens After I Book a Session?
Once we decide where to shoot your session, you will be sent an invoice and contract to move on to the next step on your session journey. You will pay a non-refundable fee to book your session and secure the date and time. For weddings, a 50% nonrefundable retainer fee is due for booking, and the remainder is due 1-month before the wedding date. Upon payment, you will receive a questionnaire, style guide (depending on the session booked), link to a Pinterest board, and calendar invite with details about your session. For weddings, you will be emailed an online get-to-know-you questionnaire, a shared Pinterest board to capture your favorite photos and style, and coordinate a date to discuss the timeline (provided by a coordinator or bride), photo wishlist (supplied by bride), and review the completed questionnaire. What Can I Expect on the Day of the Session?
I get to meet you! We will spend our time together laughing and creating memories you will have forever. You will enjoy a stress-free hour of your day, bonding unconnected from the rest of the world. During the session, I will direct every pose and prompt in a way that is child friendly. My sessions focus more on creating an emotive-based environment than posed one. All you have to do is show up and love the ones around you - I got the rest!
What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?
We accept Venmo (@SandraMatty), credit cards, and cash.
Can you Photoshop me?
As a photographer, I prioritize authenticity and believe in capturing the natural beauty of individuals. It is important for me to clarify that I do not engage in photoshopping or manipulating people's bodies to make them appear thinner or larger. I firmly believe in promoting body positivity and embracing diverse body shapes and sizes. My goal is to capture the true essence of each person I photograph, ensuring that their unique features and individuality shine through.

When it comes to blemishes, I maintain a policy of non-interference unless otherwise requested. However, I understand that some individuals may have specific concerns about certain blemishes. In such cases, I am more than willing to accommodate their requests if discussed and agreed upon prior to the photo session. Smoothing is done for Portraits only (such as family photos, couples, maternity, and engagement photos).
The following cannot be photoshopped: windy hair, sweat, wrinkled clothing, bra straps, items in pockets, iWatches or other digital watches.
Another aspect that I strictly adhere to is the principle of honesty in my photography. I do not remove people originally photographed in family photos (such as a boyfriend from a family photo session that no longer dates the individual) or persons from photographs. It is my responsibility to respect the integrity of the moments captured and the individuals involved. By preserving the authenticity of the scene, I aim to create photographs that evoke genuine emotions and memories, reflecting the true essence of the captured moment.
